A 24 minute psychedelic deep dive into rock, metal and dub reggae  that culminated from a number of intensive barnhouse practice sessions.

Drawing on emotions summoned from lived experiences coupled with a love for late 60's psychedelia and deep existentialism, the band of four have put blood, sweat and a lot of effects pedals into this extended opus culminating their various musical styles.

“What is Death?” features the nostalgic  warmth of retro live-room recording, the genre-spanning experimentation of prog-metal and the expressive grit of more extreme underground acts.

lyrics

All shall fade into the grey.
All roads lead into the grave.

Darkness take me home, release me from this prison.
Solitude rotting my soul and sickness is clouding my vision.

Let me fade into the grey.
All roads lead into the grey.
All shall fade into the grey.
All roads lead into the grave.
All shall fade.

When you gazed upon the void was your longing stare returned?
Or before your humble eyes the truth laid bare?
Life is precious.
So don't waste it.

We mean nothing to them.
We must mean everything, to ourselves, to each other.
The human race has so much potential.
Squandered through hatred.
We must stand together.
Lest we fall apart.

Time slips away yet minutes feel like days.
They form the bars on this cage keep this creature at bay.

What is dead may never die.

Old gives way to new as it always shall do.
Light the beacons, sound the horn.
Harbour in a new days dawn.

What is dead may never die.

Light the beacons, sound the horn.
Hurry now, time is short.
Behold the troubles that belay us all.
Gather up your strength now, put up the walls.

What is dead may never die.
What is dead can never die.
What is death? (x4)

What is dead may never die.
What is death, but a lie?
What is dead may never die.
What is death but a lie?

It's all a lie. (x4)

What is dead may never die.
What is death but a lie?
What is death? (x4)

I choose life. (x3)

What is dead may never die.
What is death, but a lie?
Too long trapped inside this mind.
No longer shall I hide.

What is dead may never die.
What is death but a lie?
The truth is out there it sets us free.
Living in fear is not for me.

I'm still alive, no longer trapped
inside this mind, no.
Pick up the pieces, make me whole,
leave nothing missing, mend this broken soul.

The struggle is real.
Not who you are,
but how you feel.

What is dead may never die,
so you can look death straight in the eye.
Spit right in his face and life,
show him his time has passed

Though your wounds may take time to heal,
You're still here, you still feel.
You still feel!
You still feel!

I had to shut, shut it all down.
The walls went up, the lights went out.
Only myself to blame for always doing things the hardest way,
but you and i are one in the same.
The crosses we bare carry the heaviest weight

Strong of body, strong of mind.

Strong of body, strong of mind,
but will it be enough to stay the tide?
The wolves are baying at the door,
and I don't know if I can hold it no more.
Strong of mind.
And I don't know if I can hold it no more.

When the walls come down will I still find you around?
When the walls come down, when the walls come crashing down.

When the walls come down, when the walls come crashing down,
will I still find you around?
Or will you turn and flee just like the coward I knew you to be?
When the walls come crashing down.

When the walls come crashing down.
Crashing down"
When the walls come crashing down. (x2)
Will I still find you around? (x2)

When the walls come crashing down.
Crashing down. (x2)

about

Dead Moon Lizard Kings Middlesbrough, UK

Dead Moon Lizard Kings hail from the foggy swamps of Teesside.

Jamming an erratic blend of mellow, psychedelic blues vibes peppered with planet-cracking, fuzz-encrusted doom riffs, the Lizard Kings' schizophrenic sound can be difficult to grasp, but near impossible to put down.

Expect it loud.
